Hum Bear is Sally's round stuffed teddy bear. He is the second toy to come to life, thanks to Melody Mouse. He sometimes bumps into people. He and Melody tell Sally and Jonathan that toys like themselves like to party, too because they are a lot like Sally and that they all have head, shoulders, knees, and toes as well as eyes, ears, a mouth, and a nose. They start singing Head and Shoulders song to Sally and Jonathan and they join them in singing it. They all sing the rest of it real fast and sit on the floor next to Sally's bed, wiggling their heads and shoulders and pointing to their knees and toes and fall backwards at the end. When they all get right up again, Sally rushes to her dresser asking Melody and Hum Bear to do not expect kids to go the party in their pajamas.
